What this site handles
When you select or drop a file in the upload card, UseWhisper receives the file, its name, size and type to start the free preview. The web server and hosting provider may also process technical request information needed to deliver and protect these pages, such as your IP address and request details. If you email us, we receive the information you include.
When you upload a recording
Choosing or dropping a file starts the upload immediately. Your browser sends it over HTTPS to the UseWhisper server on DigitalOcean. That server forwards it to TranscribeNext for transcription, then opens the result on TranscribeNext without asking you to choose the file again. The preview accepts files up to 50 MB and shows the first five minutes for free. The UseWhisper server holds the file briefly in memory during transfer and does not save it to its own disk. TranscribeNext controls storage and deletion of the copy it receives and the resulting transcript.
Browser storage and the accuracy tool
The transcript accuracy checker runs in your browser; text pasted into it is not sent to our server. The site saves a chosen display language in your browser's local storage. This preview has no marketing cookies or analytics script. Essential access controls and hosting infrastructure may process technical request data.
Your choices and rights
Only upload recordings you are entitled to use. You can clear the language preference in your browser. To ask about access, correction, deletion or another privacy right that applies to you, including a file uploaded on TranscribeNext, contact info@transcribenext.com. We will review your request under applicable law. The service is not intended for children.
