Ignore punctuation (capital letters are always ignored)

What do the percentages mean?

Word errors (WER) counts replaced, missing and extra words compared with the corrected transcript. Character errors (CER) does the same for letters and other characters, excluding spaces. 0% means the texts match after the chosen punctuation setting; lower is better.

What should you still check?

A low score can still hide a wrong name, number or “not.” Listen to important passages before using the transcript. For Japanese and Korean, words are not always separated by spaces, so the character score is often more useful.
